Editorial and Peer Review Process

The Digital Learning Review is dedicated to ensuring a rigorous, fair, open, and ethical peer review process for all manuscripts submitted to this journal.

Initial Editorial Evaluation

All manuscripts undergo an initial editorial evaluation with regard to their topicality for the journal, originality, scholarly merits, methodology, and conformity to the submission guidelines.

Some manuscripts that fail to meet the basic requirements of the journal or are unrelated to the journal's scope may not even reach the stage of external peer review.

Peer Review

The manuscripts that survive the initial screening may be assessed by competent reviewers.

The reviewers may evaluate:

• Originality and importance of the research
• Objectives of the research
• Methodological soundness
• Quality of evidence and its interpretation
• Topicality for digital education
• Ethical considerations
• Contributions to the scholarly discourse
• Quality of writing

Editorial Process

Post-review, the editorial board reviews the suggestions of the reviewers and the quality of the manuscript.

Potential decisions can include:

• Accept
• Minor Revision
• Major Revision
• Reject

Manuscripts that have been asked to be revised by authors should take into account the suggestions provided by the reviewers and resubmit their revised manuscripts in due time.
